What I saw while being there, the nurses in the icu were slow, disrespectful and mean. Nothing was done on time and what the doctor ordered was not being accomplished.

A small screw driver got shoved into my index finger. Massive bleeding at first, but then bled internally. Decided to go to ER (@ 11pm) as my finger was rapidly swelling and was turning purple and I thought I should get a tetanus shot. Man at desk very nice. Man that checked me in - very nice. Everyone else completely ignored me. The man that checked me in finally came and put me and two other people waiting into rooms to be seen. Everyone was taken care of but me. No patients left to see but me. Went back out to ask about someone seeing me and no one paid any attention to me. I finally left (after an hour of waiting). Man that checked me in just said "I'm sorry" and let me walk out (good thing it was a more serious situation). Had a friend with medical experience look at it today. Finger will survive. Need tetanus shot. Not going to West Hills for it!

West hills hospital ER was nice and clean but expensive. I found out later that the ER physicians do not take any of the insurance and I was hooked to pay significantly more than I was suppose to because I was out of the network (paind more out of my pocket). I spoke to my physician in West Hills, he told me that he stopped sending his patients to the ER at West Hills Hospital of the cost associated with it.

THIS hospital is expensive and it's not worth going to it.

I don't have to go to LA zoo anymore, I can just visit west hill hospital emergency room. Big difference compare to how the ER use to be 7 years ago when I went for my appendix.

West hills hospital in San Fernando Valley is a very nice hospital with nice staff working there. The emergency room is not as crowded as others and you get to be seen by the physician very quickly. I really liked my experience there.

I have blue cross insurance, and my daughter was charge $1500 out of pocket for a cat scan for possible appendix problem. It was nothing and she was sent home. My insurance company stated that they paid all except that West Hospital is charging beyond reasonable fees. I am so furious about west hills hospital.

I found out how expensive this hospital is for simple things. I've spoken to a few people and they all have agreed. I even spoke the head of our insurance company and I was surprised that lots of insurance companies do not have a contract with West Hills Hospital because they charge 4-5 times more than any other hospital. West Hills hospital is one of the most expensive hospitals in the country. Beware before you go to this hospital. Please read some reviews.
